Off the Rails Scrapbooking - October Challenge

Hi ya all, I'm up on Off The Road Scrapbooking blog today.

This month we have a really interesting mood board filled with lovely bold colors! Check out the palette below. Don't you just love this happy board? I do! :)

When I first laid my eyes on this mood board, I knew that the Le Cirque collection from Graphics 45 is the perfect paper to use! Ermm if you have not heard of this collection, it's actually because I had it for a long time. Yes, I know  I have a habit of hoarding pretty papers especially when Graphics 45 papers are so unique and fantastic for fussy cutting. How often do you see paper pattern papers of circus and clowns? Tell you a secret, I still have papers from their collection, Once Upon A Springtime which is from way way back. Just too pretty to be cut up! Hahaha

Well enough said, below is my take on the October mood board. Likey??

Started with a plain round chipboard and I paste on black cardstock from Coredinations which is a special series with Graphics 45. In case you don't know, Coredinations cardstock are great for sanding, tearing and embossing....So here I was happily sanding to show the diamond shape over the black background. Then I had more fun with Tim Holtz stencils and distress paints to achieve the background effect I wanted.

Did you notice in the picture above that I even color the chipboard from Blue Fern Studios wih distress paints? Below is the close up for a better look. Love how the clown looks like it's trying to jump over the ring :)

Before I end, more close up on the quotes to go along with fussy cut images from pretty Graphics45 papers.

For those who are in Singapore and would like to try and make a similar piece. Most of the supplies are available in Made With Love, including the chipboards.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting my blog.

Happy Crafting!
