This is their lovely October Mood Board and I'm so in love with all the butterflies!!
Here's what I have interpreted from the mood board. The while butterflies and awesome gold lace heel has totally inspired me when I worked on this canvas!
Since I managed to take some photos along the way, I thought I briefly share the process of making this canvas with you.....
So here goes....
Painted the canvas with a blue background before creating the clouds and meadow.
Side track a little...in case if you are wondering how the clouds and meadows were painted; it was created with a recycled facial sponge. Haha don't worry the sponge was properly washed and sanitized with hot water before I used it on my canvas. So never look down on a sponge ok? They can be used to create unbelievable of effect.
While waiting for the background to dry, I went on to prep the mini canvas (painted teal and dab with white paint) and wood veneers (gesso and painted white).
Once the background and mini canvas are dry, I added more dimension to it by stamping images of Dandelions, butterflies and birds. Before adding all the embellishments to complete the piece.
Hope you have liked my work and the extra details I have shared with you.
Thank you Scrap Around The World for this wonderful mood board! :)
