2014 - Week 2 - Gabriel's first day of school

It's already the 3rd week of January....this month has been very eventful so far.

Well for a start, Gabriel started Primary One on 6th Jan. It was an exciting day for everyone. 

For Gabriel, he was all excited and looking forward to carry his new school bag because it was in his favourite green and has dinosaur tags!

For parents, it was a day of unsettlement and worry. At every stage you wonder if he was coping ok on his own. I'm so glad that the school actually allow parents to stay with the kids during recess time. 

At the end of the day, we were so proud of Gabriel as he has coped so much better than we thought and he came from from first day of school a happy boy.

It's sad that I have to fly off to US for a company trip on the 2nd day of his school. So since mummy is not by his side for his first week of school, I made him a sock monkey so that he can hug it when he misses me.

I love this sock monkey. Reminds me of Paul Frank. 

Gonna make another one to make it a pair!
