Growing With Gabriel: Hello My Sunshine A Project For 2Crafty Chipboard

Dear readers,

I'm back today to share a layout I have created for 2Crafty Chipboard.

This photo of my little rambo was taken on our way home after his badminton training.

I thought he look really cute tying the towel on his forehead so took a quick snap with my new phone.

I must say I'm impressed with the camera of my new Samsung S7 :)

In this layout, had lots of fun with colors and different mediums and it is also my very first attempt working on Tattered Angels Mixed Media Origins collection pattern paper.

Love how the paper does not have any ripple effect and has stand up so well to all my misting and mediums.

Here's sharing some close up photos...

First up, I'm showing off the gold studs on My Sunshine Chipboard Title. These cool studs were created with Ranger liquid pearls.

Using Tim Holtz Burlap stencils and white gesso, I have created the burlap effects on the left side of the page.

Taking your attention to the ombre effect on the Life Documented chipboard. I have lightly dab on Distress Ink in Black Soot and while it is still wet, I brushed it with a very thin layer of white gesso.

The Name Plate was misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Did you notice this pretty white mini bag? This is from Canvas Corp. It was a plain white bag and I have stamped it with a pretty stamp from My Favourite Things.

Lastly, look closely on the white splatter. I have purposely splatter it in a way that follows the dark rays in the background.

Love the wordings on the paper bag which is from My Favourite Things.

As for the mini hexagon chipboards, I have applied a layer of clear crackle.

Can you spot the subtle cracks?

In this last close up, I bring focus to stenciling.

Stencils are good tool in creating backgrounds.

Whether you want it to sit quietly in the background or have a more popping effect, it can help to change the whole look of your page.

Other than the burlap stencils, I have actually used a measured stencil from Tim Holtz as well.
