So here's my take on our recent Bali trip done on a piece of 10x10 canvas. As usual...my favourite items, flowers, laces and pearls are a must! But this time round I gave my piece a burst of summer colors!
Just to share, the effect on the background was achieved by using texture paste with stubby paint brush and randomly brush with criss-cross strokes across the canvas. Once the texture paint is dried, I sprayed on Prima Color Bloom in Soft Teal. I love the soft love and how the Prima Color Bloom has helped the texture to stand out even better.
I seriously love flowers and I can't stop myself from taking some close up shots so that I can highlight some details.....looking at these photos below, did you spot any seashells? I added this to give more "umph" to the photo since it was taken in Sanur Beach :) The cloth netting was actually a reuse of some expired medical gauze around the house. Totally in the spirit of scrapping...using scrap materials around the house :)
In this photo, you can get a better feel of the textured background and I also want to take this chance to point your attention to the ornate frame. This frame is probably one of my favourite and most used Bigz Die with my Big Shot Machine. It's so versatile that you can used it on any scrap pieces even on greeting cards! Before I forget to mention, Ranger Ink Distress Crackled Paint in Picket Fence was applied to the frame to create the cracking effect.
