Back again today to share a video tutorial on a frosty layout I have created for Off The Rails Scrapbooking. Do hop over to their website http://offtherailsscrapbooking.blogspot.com.au/ to get some Christmas inspiration!
So as we approached the year end, it's always a busy time for everyone, lots of parties and gatherings with families and friends....amidst all these hustle and bustle, don't forget to take some time off and appreciate the things around you and reflect on the events for the whole year. Hence, the quote used on this layout.
Here's the video tutorial:
Do pardon on any flaws in the video as I'm still a newbie to video tutorial ya :)
I will also be submitting this layout for Prima Marketing (Build a Page) and Scrap Around The World Challenge.
This month's pretty Prima Build A Page sketch created by a very talented Keren Tamir. Love this sketch! Do visit http://prima.typepad.com/prima/2014/12/decembers-bap-ppp-are-here.html#more for more details of Prima's December challenge.
And this is the mood board for Scrap Around The World Challenge.
Such a beautiful mood board. Blue is my favourite color for Christmas! I was inspired by the photo of the mason jar and cupcake picture. Blue, gold and snowflakes!
And some close up pictures of as follows:
Frosted effect on the photos were created with Prima 3D Gloss Gel and Glass Glitter in Pearl. Then I lightly dab white gesso on the glitter for the snowy effect.
More frosted look on the flower petals created by using Prima Texture paste in white sand and gesso.
Prima 3D Gloss gel and Glass Beads in Zinc has been added to the center of the flower as well.
In this close up you can also see the texture of the snowflakes which is created by Memory Box stencils and Prima Texture Paste in White Sand.
This is one of my favourite mediums from Prima. Great texture and has a slight glimmer to it :)
Final close up on the centre piece! Frosty ain't it?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
