For a wonderful aunt

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a layout done on a 12 x 12 chipboard which I will be submitting for 2 challenges (Prima Marketing and Once Upon a Sketch) as well. Here are the details.

PRIMA PRODUCT PICKS
10-october

ONCE UPON A SKETCH

Journalling Theme: "The women/girls etc in our lives..."

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!

And here's my take on the challenges.

Background is created with Stencils from Crafter's Workshop and Tim Holtz, Stampers Annoymous stamps, Staz On Delicata Ink Pad (Gold), Distress Paint (Picket Fence), Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Gold and White)
Journal on the back of the chipboard

Centre piece was mostly created with Prima supplies, Mica flakes, Crystals, Gel Medium, Texture Paste (Graphite), flowers, leaves and resin.
The big white butterfly is from Tattered Angels
Brick and love chipboards are from Blue Fern Studios which I have layered with Prima Texture Paste in White Sand and Gaphite

Let's take a walk down the memory lane and allow me to share some childhood moments...

Back in the 80s, aunt has an air conditioner installed in her room when they move to a new place. We love staying over in her room on weekends! I have to fight with my sister who gets to sleep in this "special" room as aunt only allow one more person to bunk in with her,  It still brings a smile on my face when I think back about it.

I love Strawberry Shortcake when I was a little girl. When they open a store in Singapore, my aunt drove us to the mall (think it was Galleries Lafayette now known as Forum Shopping Mall) and brave the crowd. Although I remembered that I fell sick on that very same day, I would still mark it as one of the awesome day in my life. Till today, I have still have a Strawberry Shortcake doll by my bedside! LOL

Oh I mustn't forget to mention Nintendo handheld games! Still remember this gadget? It was a novelty to have them and aunt has a few of them! These little thing were like iPad to us back in the 80s. Yes, you remember? My favourite was the parachute cause I was the best in that game :)

If I were to continue talking about our lovely aunt it will take days to write them out but I won't bore you with it.

To end it all, she's still the best aunt in the world who is now showering my little prince (Gabriel) with toys and books, bringing him to his favourite restaurants and of course taking him out for some fun whenever possible.

I know this is a rather long post. Thanks for reading and Happy Crafting!

Hey Lizzy. Those were the good old days...Simple life, simple pleasures :) That aside, thanks for liking my submission. I was a bold step on 2 classic colors, black and gold. Really glad that it turned out much more striking than I wanted it to be.
Yes! I have already post my take in FB. Thanks again for the lovely comment and reminder for linking up to FB.
